About me..

I have been on my healing journey for over twenty years, which has had many twists and turns. I first trained as a yoga teacher and spent several years teaching and developing my own practice. I then turned to meditation, studying and practicing various approaches. In my late twenties, I began having children and settled down in Cornwall. I started to shift away from Eastern practices towards spirituality, becoming interested in what our ancestors practiced here in the West. I began working with storytellers, mythologists, rites of passage facilitators, and nature connection practitioners. I qualified as a ‘Forest School’ teacher and started supporting people in connecting with the natural world, running groups both privately and in schools.

During this time, I came across a charity called ‘A Band of Brothers,’ which works with young men coming out of prison. I volunteered for a weekend and was so moved by what I witnessed that I started a branch in Cornwall. This endeavor took several years of training in their approach and bringing together people in my community. I began training new members of the organization, and eventually, A Band of Brothers Cornwall was established and continues to thrive to this day. During this period, I also founded an organization that brought this work into schools. Working with A Band of Brothers allowed me to hone my skills as a mentor and facilitator.

A central part of the healing modality for this charity is based on group process work, also known as circle/parts/shadow work. I became passionate about this approach and further developed my skills during two additional years of training in the Netherlands. I qualified there as a facilitator and began running my own retreats in Cornwall, France, and Spain, blending everything I had learned to date. The retreats incorporated nature connection, mythology, and intensive circle work/group processes. I also established an ongoing group in Cornwall that worked with both men and women in my local community.

During the COVID pandemic, I began running groups online and started working with individuals on a one-on-one basis. This work became increasingly popular, and when restrictions were lifted, I found myself working full-time, seeing individuals and couples both online and in person. My skills and years of practice translated well to this format, and I now have an established practice.

My work can best be described as coaching, but with a great deal of depth. During sessions with me, we mainly talk, but I will also incorporate various techniques and tools, where appropriate. These may include somatic experiencing, visualization, parts work, goal setting, and trauma release. I endeavor to bring a compassionate awareness to the root causes of our pain from childhood. I am also passionate about examining the ways in which we currently live and behave towards ourselves, others, and our environment, in an effort to create positive change.
